I am running OBS Studio 19.0.2 and i am trying to use hotkeys while I am playing a game. Long story short, I am trying to do something like the elgato stream deck but cheaper. I figured out if i get a used razer keyboard on eBay i can use razer synapse to make every key a macro. I would like to be able to press one of these keys while in game in order to toggle a source by making the macro run a set of keystrokes that is set to a hotkey programmed in OBS. But to my luck, I have to click into OBS before I can use one of these macros to run the hotkey. I have tried running as an administrator and that doesn't work either. Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I think by key stroke generator you mean razer synapse, and I tried running razer synapse as an administrator and that doesn't work. I now notice that I can execute the hotkey manually and it will work even if I am not clicked into OBS. I will make a post on Razer's forum and see if anyone there can help me, but if anyone here has any other ideas I am willing to give them a shot. Thanks!
