Question / Help Global graphic/text overlay without nesting scenes?

I have a project coming up where I will need to live switch between multiple video sources, and overlay lower thirds. In the past, I've used a Tricaster to do this, but that is no longer an option. I like the capability of the Multiview preview window in OBS for live switching. However, I can't find a way to do a global graphics/text overlay that isn't tied to a specific scene.

I've experimented with nesting a text overlay scene inside of the other scenes, but it complicates the workflow considerably. I need to be able to fade up and down the lower third, and edit the text element when it isn't visible, while still switching the video sources behind the overlay. The Tricaster made this pretty easy, because it treats overlays separately from the video sources. Does OBS Studio have this capability? Is there a plugin that would help?

I'm an OBS noob, so please excuse the ignorance. My Google Fu failed me. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately this OBS doesn't have this functionality at the moment.

I recommend creating a "Overlay Scene" with all lower thirds, logos, etc. Then include that scene as a source into your other scenes and assign hotkeys to show or hide the lower third, logo, etc.
