Question / Help given up on the roxio software ! plz help

i use OBS to stream all my pc games and love it - have just come from youtube and now it seems its possible to use it with roxio game cap pro .

the guy on the video had it so it was capturing from the actual game cap card
i on the other hand after trying his method end up with a red screen - he says in his video this is due to not putting the right settings in the resolution box - so i put the exact same ones as him and still got a red screen .

now he was streaming in 420p but i want 720 p
he was using a xbox and i am on ps3 .

i can get it working by using capture screen and selecting region . but really want it too capture from the actual roxio itself.

so has anyone on ps3 using a roxio game cap pro streaming using OBS
it must be possible .
can i get a tutorial ?

Many Roxio devices don't work with OBS: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2517

I think i remember Jim saying he maybe got something to maybe work for some Roxio devices, maybe. I think it might have made it into the latest test build, if you want to try that. viewforum.php?f=20

Also, be aware that PS3 cannot be captured via HDMI (X360 can). You must use component, or composite cables (or have an anti-HDCP inline processor) as Sony has forced-on HDCP for all movie playback and gameplay.

no ps3 can be captured - its component cables from ps3 too the roxio device and then hdmi from the device to the monitor .
used to work fine for about a month .

will try out that build you linked . - which one is it ? ? ?
