Is there a way to connect a GigE camera to OBS?
The camera that I want to connect is Prosilica Model GC1290C.

There are lots of options, but it depends on the camera's output options. I did NOT look at that camera specific model

The latest standard approach is to use a NDI capable camera. There are other, lower quality IP (Ethernet) based camera/video protocols, so it depends on quality and budget target
- Does your camera output video via IP (Ethernet or WiFi)? if yes, then most likely, with right software on OBS PC, you can use that video. Whether that video will be worth using depends on the camera and its output options
If the camera itself doesn't have a network output video mode, then there are adapters which can take HDMI, SDI, USB, etc and convert to a video over Ethernet format (but some adapters can be rather pricey what you are getting)

Thank you for your response Lawrence.

I had some feedback from the Allied vision technologies which is the camera support company and I am sharing the response.

I think you can install our Vimba, run vimbaviewer to stream the video. then using the "Window Capture" from OBS. Vimba can be download from our web site, https://www.alliedvision.com/en/support/software-downloads/

This option is a resonable solution.

What that does NOT indicate is which protocol the camera is using to transmit video.
Can you do as Allied Vision indicates? sure... but the video resolution and quality can vary significantly, and their viewer software may, or may not, be optimal. whether their Vimba is adequate for you needs, only you can say.
https://www.alliedvision.com/en/camera-selector/detail/prosilica-gc/1290/ indicates it runs at 33fps... and is industrial design... so not cheap security camera... but their PDF for Camera and Driver attributes is over 5 yrs old.. not encouraging

So.. it depends on what you are trying to do... I won't be surprised, for a camera like that, that using their Vimba software alone, and not OBS, may make more sense. Taking a video feed from the camera, at an unusual for broadcast framerate, re-rendering that via a Window Capture, will mean a likely material loss in video quality.. again, depends on your requirements as to whether adequate or not.
IF this for manufacturing line quality control?
