I have i7 4770k, I'm using 3300bitrate with veryfast preset and works fine. I would recommend you to try 45fps, looks like 60fps on stream and gives some space to your cpu aswel.
Cool. Depends in which games. But should be fine in most of them. Sometimes I feel that even mine i7 4770k is not enough in new games + other softwares/plugins etc.
technically an i5 can stream games like league without a problem because league is not really demanding on the cpu which means 720p60 and 1080p30 is possible
but if you want to stream something like csgo then 720p30 is pretty much the limit already else theres not much headroom for your i5
@emil if you plan on streaming a lot either buy an xeon or an actual i7
