Question / Help Getting Warning:high encoding and dropping frames

Hi, I just got OBS and have been trying to get into streaming. I have an elgato capture card 60hd. I have zero trouble with their software, and zero trouble with obs on my 2012 imac. I realized that I can't add a facecam on mac, so I borrowed a friends samsung laptop with i7 intel processor and 8gb ram and am getting dropped frames in the counter and the warning messages. I have spent hours on that set up messing with settings, etc. and nothing seems to work. I then tried it on parallels with my imac, and on that I am getting more dropped frames and still warning message. I also pulled up the elgato software on parallels and the microsoft laptop and I am dropping frames like crazy. It also seems to get worse when I add a facecam. I see people streaming successfully with much worse set ups, but I can not get it to work. I have a business internet connection so it can not possibly be that. Any ideas? My last resort is obviously buying a new set up but I am trying to avoid that. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Osiris, thanks for the reply. I figured out how to get to the logs and have fixed the problems myself. The only other problem I am having is..Game audio is coming through my obs, however I can not lower or raise the volume on my pc toolbar or in the obs software. Any ideas? I would post a log, but I don't see that info anywhere in it.
