Question / Help Getting started with display capture, how does this work?

I am just getting started with all of this. Installed etc., attempted display capture an got redundant windows (as in a double mirror). I am wanting to make a vidio tutorial with my screen. How do I do this.? Is this the correct forum?
Any help is appreciated.

I figured it out. Needed dual screens. All I could see was a mirrored redundant screen thru infinity.

You may minimize or even hide to tray the OBS Studio - it will continue to record in background until you stop it.

Thank you. By the time I figured it out, I was tired of trying. There was also some sort of glitch with the sound. I eventually tried two other systems before the glitch disappeared. So I deleted OBS. If you really feel that I should continue using OBS, let me know. Otherwise, it was difficult to get help and find any decent manual.
