Getting short audio gaps in my recordings

Normally this will happen with a sample rate mismatch (usually along with clicking/popping sounds), or if your audio device is set to use Buffered audio and/or device timestamps. Make sure Buffering is set DISABLED, and that 'use device timestamps' is UNchecked.

You can drag and drop a logfile right into your post to attach it as a file; that OneDrive link seems to require login, so few people (myself included) will be likely to view it as compared to just directly attaching it to your post. :)

I checked the sample rate on my audio device, and it matches the one I have selected in OBS > Settings > Audio (both 48KHz). My sound device is set to use 16 bit @ 48KHz though - which doesn't seem to be adjustable for OBS? Does OBS use 16-bit or 24-bit, and could that be a reason for the gaps? My audio device doesn't seem to have any options for buffering or device timestamps. I did find a Use Device Timestamps option in the Audio Mixer settings, which I have now disabled (it was enabled).

After a bit more testing, the issue only seems to be happening when I am recoding from Desktop Audio (Audio Mixer). Does that help narrow down what the issue might be?
