Hey guys! I got the same problem as many! Im streaming on twitch with 2 PCs while using a 144 hz gaming-monitor.
In order to send my videosignal (ive solved my audiotransphere with a mixer) from my gaming-pc to my streaming-pc im using a capture card - the Elgato HD60 Pro.
The problem i run into:
My stream just doesnt look smooth 60 fps ... its weird to explain ...
Ive done some research and found out that 60 hz-capture-cards do have problems when the gaming-pc is hooked up to a 144hz gaming monitor. This beeing sad i just purchased the new Avermedia GC753 4K Capture Card. It is able to captur 1080p up to 240 hz..
My Setup:
Im streaming with Streamlabs OBS on the following settings
Bitrate 8250 (Sometimes 7000, depending on twitch)
Encoding Methode: X.264
CPU-Preset: Faster
Resolution: 1920x1080
Framerate: 60
Hardware of my streaming-pc
i7 6950x @ 4,3 Ghz
16 GB DDR4 Ram
GTX 970
ASUS X99 Strix Mainboard
My questions:
The Avermedia Card itself does NOT support x264 encoding in its own software-package "recentral 4" Can i even use this card with OBS if its not supporting this? I dont want the card to encode anything, thats why im using OBS.
Do i need to change any settings in the avermedia-software if i want to stream with obs? Basicly i want to capture the best possible quality from my gaming-gpu to the capturecard and send it to obs! Do the settings in recentral 4 even effect OBS?
Im trying to run the capturecard itself in 1080p 240 hz. Is there a way to set the source of the capturecard to 240 hz in OBS? I think the highest is 60 or "highest possible".
I really dont get the coherence of OBS and the avermedia-programm.
Thanks for your help :)
