Question / Help Getting mic and Skype audio, but not game audio.

I see there have been plenty of game audio-related threads, but I didn't find one about the precise issue I'm having. I've been having a variety of audio problems here and there since I started using OBS, but I think I can at least partly blame Razer Surround for that. But now that's uninstalled.

Anyway, so although I've managed to get everything recorded just fine before, now I'm getting everything besides the actual game audio. And two nights ago, I got game audio and mic audio, but my friend in the Skype call was recorded as so quiet that she may as well have not been there.

I have Skype set to output to my headset speakers, and OBS set to record my headset speakers. If I set it to record my sound driver "speakers" or whatnot, I get game audio but no voice at all (understandably).

I'd really like to continue using this software without more problems. Any help is greatly appreciated. >_>

Note: I use OBS to record, not to stream.

Make your headsets the default audio playback device on windows, then also make sure that your applications/games are set to output to the default sound playback device.. If you do this OBS will capture sound properly when you select the "default" desktop audio device.

With my Turtle Beach PX22 speakers set as default device, the game's audio seems to lack bass completely. So I set default device back to "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio Device)", as well as Skype and OBS, and that works just fine when I record. I believe this is the same way I had it set up initially, when I first downloaded OBS... So, thank you.

However... Well, with game and Skype audio set to the same device, I can't use my volume sliders on my headset's amplifier. These sliders can be quite useful, and I could almost swear I've had Skype and game/Realtek audio both picked up by OBS before, but I'm not sure anymore.

So now my question is, "Is it possible to have OBS record two audio devices as well as microphone?" If push comes to shove, I can record game audio with Audacity, but... I really would rather not. I imagine having to sync the game audio perfectly with every video I record would be annoying.

...Well, I seem to have installed the plugin properly, but... I add my Realtek Speakers as a global source and tell it to "output to stream only," and game audio is still not recorded. I told it to "output to desktop," and there still is nothing. Am I missing something here? >_>

....It WAS working perfectly fine last night, but now, again, on both 32-bit (which I was using before) and 64-bit (which I switched to last night, since my system is 64-bit), there is no game audio. I've tried removing and re-adding the Global Source, and it just won't work.

Uuuuugh... Is there anything I can do now?
