Question / Help Getting lagspikes while streaming.

Hi I have tried to change almost everything down on the stream to find out what could help.
But seems like nothing works at all.

The point is when I am streaming everything is fine, I have no lagging or anything, my graphic are perfect on twitch.tv as well, but sometimes it gets a little lag spike, so the viewers can't see what's happening, and it happens quite a lot.

This is what it says on my obs when it happens - " Warning - taking too long to encode skipping frames"

Here are the problems with your settings:

1.) You are encoding at 1080p 45fps (at least in one instance), and that's too much for your particular CPU to handle. Using 1.5 downscale so you output 720p is recommended to reduce the amount of data and thus CPU usage required for encoding.
2.) You changed your preset away from "veryfast" to a lower, more CPU-intensive preset, which is very bad, and will use exponentially more CPU. Put that back to "veryfast".

Also, I don't recommend 45fps. It's an uneven framerate. I generally recommend either 30, or 60. You comptuer should be able to handle 720p 60fps is that's what you would like to do.

I will change to 60 fps but how do I change so it only takes 720p and not 1080p ?
also the cpu have been set back.
I have also tried to change the resolution since that was recommended as well

I also got another question that I can't find help to anywhere.
I know how I get the sounds on so people can hear my music.
but when I stream people can't hear what my friends are saying on skype, how do I fix this so people can hear them as well ??
also I don't know if it's only skype or others voice programs as well, only tried with skype until now, since I have been trying to get the stream smooth first, since that's a first priority.

Your settings look much better now, everything looks good, it should be fine.

As for the question about skype -- I'm confused, OBS captures all audio on your PC, unless you have your audio redirecting to multiple places (and what I mean is for example having teamspeak/skype play in a headset while everything else goes to speakers). Is that what you're doing? Otherwise it should be able to capture skype fine.

yes everything goes out of my speakers, except my sounds on skype and other voice programs.
my skype and voice programs goes through my headset, but I also chosed it to record my sounds from the headset, but still dosen't work :/

Ah, okay, this will be fixed in a later version, but in the mean time, if you have those go to headset, then you need to set OBS to play your headset, then use this plugin to capture "what you hear" or "stereo mix" from your speakers: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2579

hi the lagspikes is still there :/
I just tried to run it while my friend were watching. To check if the stream was fine and everything now.
But the stream is still getting some kind of lagspikes.
Graphic and everything is fine, and my fps is fine in-game as well, no lagging for myself or anything, but suddenly the stream just freezes and then gets back on again (2-10 secs)

I am getting the exact problem after the last couple of updates. Also, my PC is well over able to stream, and it occurs on every resolution, whether it be 360p, 720p, or 1080p. Also it happens on local and broadcasting modes.

PC Specs:
AMD FX 8350 @ 4.0GHz x8
8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
GTX 760 2GB

because I have been streaming before and there were no problems.
so maybe it's the obs update at the moment ?
