Question / Help getting frustrated someone halp!

ok so, my problem is still on going, SOMETIMES it streams flawlessly
and sometimes it just wont work~


i used to be able to stream 720/30fps @ 3500kbps flawlessly

but recently SOMETIMES as i stream on the bottom right of obs showing how much kbps im uploading,
the bar goes red and seem to not be able to pass 300-400kbps~

anyone know why??

log says unstable connection.
ive contacted my isp, and everything seems to be fine on there end
have also done multiple speed tests everything checks out~~~
i streamed yesterday perfectly fine, and today i tried to and it just stopped workign again~

When it happens, let it go on for a few minutes. Two of your streams are really short (~10 seconds) and we need a longer sample to really see what its doing. Once you've done that (2-4 minutes, from while the problem is occurring), post the log file from it.

Also maybe I just missed it but I don't see any unstable connection messages in the logs you posted.

I don't see any mention of disconnects in that particular log file, but I do see the dropped frames. If you think you -should- be able to handle 3500 bitrate for video then you have to first try switching servers until you find a more stable one (if any), and if that fails, you need to just lower your bitrate until frame drops stop. Just because you have a theoretical max does not mean that you can actually sustain that max for your stream.

Besides, you don't need quite that much bitrate for 720p 40fps. You could probably down to 2500 and still look pretty decent.

have tried all servers >.< still no luck, just RANDOMLY will work flawlessly, and the rest of the time it jsut wont pass 200-400kbps~~~ posting another log now~

You're still using 3500. And you're using 20fps for some reason. You really don't need that much for even 60fps, you only need like 3000 bitrate for decent 720p, so just try turning it down a little bit

am currently now even trying @ 480p/1200kb/30fps
still no luck~

could it be something is possibly blocking??

Well, it appears that your upload is indeed limited as the shaperprobe states:

Checking for traffic shapers:

Upstream: Burst size: 36-38 KB;
Shaping rate: 298 Kbps.

This would explain why you've been unable to stream, you have very very limited stable upload. I don't think you'd be able to stream with that low of stable upload.

any way around this? other than switching ISP's

Probably not. It says that you were only able to have a stable upload of 300kbps, which is insufficient for streaming. These tests are done over a longer period of time and have more accurate results, generally. Now, that may not always be the case, but according to those initial measurements, your internet simply does not have sufficient stable upload bandwidth. You would have to either upgrade your internet with your ISP or switch ISPs.
