Question / Help Getting fair stream, but local recording is killing me...

Local recording really makes my system chug and causes some crashes and odd errors. The Nvidea mobile card doesn't seem to want to work with the hardware encoding option, otherwise I feel like I'd be all set.

Can anyone see anything glaring I could do in this log to help me out?

Your CPU cannot keep up with live-encoding the video. Try downscaling to 720p.

Also, make sure you use the 64-bit version of OBS Studio.

From your log
22:02:47.768: OBS 0.16.6 (windows) ---> This means OBS 32 bit

Also, look the name of your window (32 bit version just says OBS 0.16.6)

64 bit: copy shortcut, edit it and search OBS 64 bits binary


Downscale in Video settings and in Output settings leave rescaling unchecked
