Question / Help Getting error when trying to install OBS Studio

The error message states:

Error opening file for writing

C:\Users\MACKTE~1\AppData\Local\Temp\OBS\check_for_64bit_visual_studio_2013_runtimes.exe

Click Abort to stop the installation,
Retry to try again, or
Ignore to skip this file

When I click retry, same error message pops up. When I click ignore, the setup wizard stops responding.

Thanks for the quick response. I was finally able to get it installed.

But I am having another issue. When I start streaming I get this error message on Twitch. "Authorization error retry while in progress". My viewers cannot see video or hear audio and I get the same thing when I view my channel. Not sure if it's an OBS issue or a problem on Twitch's end. I've changed my stream key several time and still get the error message.

I figured its more of a Twitch issue than an OBS issue. Was hoping you might of heard of a solution. Thanks for your assistance.

Do you have any antivirus active? If so try disabling it. Also check your temp drive folder isn't full.
Hi,
I have the same problem and I disabled it and my temp drive folder is empty but I am still having the same problem. it doesn´t fix it. Do you have any other suggestion?

This is known to be caused by IOBit software, if you have any of that try uninstalling it.

Hey all I've solved this issue! It is caused by your antivirus and/or your bank protection software. Here I've Rapport Trusteer Endpoint protection to access a bank account on Santander and this software was causing this issue with check_for_64bit_visual_studio_2013_runtimes.exe

Fortunately Rapport Trusteer software have a way to disable it at runtime, just press windows button and search for rapp and the option to turn off protection will appear, click on that and follow the instructions on the screen.
