Question / Help Getting 5.1 Audio to work?

I have a Magewell Pro Capture HDMI device that supports 5.1 audio, i have enabled 5.1 audio in OBS via the audio settings menu and have looked in the settings for the Magewell through OBS and its reporting there are 5 audio channels but for what ever reason im only getting 2 channel bars for the audio in OBS. Am i missing a step to getting surround audio to work at all/

Forum member @Silver-Streak reports that the Magewell can't do 5.1 audio through DirectShow, it only works if you use their SDK. Which basically means someone would have to write a Magewell plugin to enable 5.1 audio. So far no one has expressed the interest in doing that.
