Hi

I new to all this and don't really know much about recording software etc.

Basically my son, who is ten, wants to make gaming videos. We've made a couple but I'm just trying get the best out of his equipment. I used the auto setup wizard on OBS to set it up for optimal recording with equipment.

He is using a PS4 into an elgato HD60. This goes into a laptop along with a logitech C920 camera.

The laptop has an i5-5200U processor, 16G RAM, a 2TB hard drive and an AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics card.

As mentioned we've made a couple of videos, converted to H265 in avidemux to edit little bits out.

Last night I realised that the graphics card isn't being used by OBS. How do you get it to work and would it even improve the quality of the videos if it was used.
I followed this video but nothing happened.

Code:
18:54:57.060: [AMF] A critical error occured during AMF Testing.
18:54:57.060: Failed to initialize module 'enc-amf.dll'

Try a clean reinstall of the AMD Driver, the M360 should have encoding capabilities (unless locked away by the hardware vendor). You're currently using the QSV encoder which has the same quality.

EDIT: OBS itself is already using the GPU by default.
