From the mobile Nvidia 900M GPUs, only the GTX models support Nvenc. The Geforce 920M is no GTX card.

920M while not being a GTX have GK208 chip which should have NVDEC that supports decoding and encoding MPEG-2VC-1 and H.264 (AVCHD).

I have one of these under install now and will be testing.

Correct, the chipset lacks the NVENC circuit. There's some unicorn GPU's that are floating around, can't remember the exact model but they were built on the wrong chipset that did include NVENC.

The other issue is the driver, current versions of OBS require something like v531.xx. The latest driver available for that model is 425.31 so even if there was NVENC available, I think OBS v27.2.4 would be the last version that would actually work.
