Question / Help Games lag when I use OBS

I am trying to record Loadout and OBS is causing it to lag horribly. I have tried multiple settings from multiple different videos and forum posts and none of them have fixed the problem. Also I have tried to record Titanfall beta so I know it is not the games problem.

Btw I am only using OBS to record at the minute, not to stream.

The log checker or whatever it is called told me that the FPS and bitrate combo was bad, but I do not know what to change and how to change it.

I think that covers everything? If there is something I am missing please tell me so I can post it.

Specs:
Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz
4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6770

I have also noticed that when the video plays it will be ok for like 3 seconds then freeze for 10 seconds and repeat.

Your CPU has only 2 real cores which is a problem. It's not fast enough to do all the tasks that you're asking from it.
Try running the games in full screen mode at 1280x720 and then downscale OBS's resolution by 1.5 to 480p, also you may want to go ahead and lower the CPU preset to superfast or ultrafast to free up some CPU for the games to utilize.
