So, I have been trying to use Open Broadcaster for 2 days and can't get it to work with most of my games. It works with Super Meat Boy, that was my test game. But I wanted to stream Alan Wake, and when I start the game and turn on preview in OBS, I get this:

I would like to stream using OBS because I heard good things about it, like it being less demanding. My internet speed isn't really that good so I stream on really low settings, only 640*360 so it isn't that demanding.

I also tried Trine 2 and got this:

Code:

I tried both games fullscreen and windowed, and turned off ingame community overlay for steam, but nothing changed. Also, i tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of OBS to see if that was the problem but both behaved the same.

Do you happen to have any overlays such as mumble/teamspeak/etc active? Or what about graphics enhancers, or perhaps any applications for your graphics card running?

Nope, at least none that I know of. I tried turning every other program off except OBS and steam/game, but it didn't help. Asus uses some kind of overlay so i turned that off too but nothing changed. Also, maybe it would be helpful to add that I tried it on other apps and it works without a problem so it probably doesn't mean that my CPU is not good enough. As for the graphics card, I only have the standard Nvidia conrol panel running.
