Question / Help Games crash to the desktop when using Game Capture

Hi there,

I've run in some trouble with OBS. When I stream a game with Game Capture, it will instantly (sometime when I get to the main menu) close down. There is no error message and the process in killed.

Everything works fine when using monitor capture.

Running the game in windows, fullscreen windowed also didn't help.

When I don't run OBS, then the game runs without issues.

So far it has happened to all my games.

I included my Dxdiag. Here is my OBS report:

What game is giving you issues? Certain games or even just mods (like Dark Souls + DSfix) have issues with Game Capture.

Try Fullsceen-Window (borderless) mode.

I've sadly already tried this. It didn't help as I just get send back to my desktop.

Every single game. Wolfenstein, ARMA 3, Grid 2, Battlefield, you name it.
The issue isn't confined to one particular game sadly :(

PS did I upload my Dxdiag.txt right? If not then i'll re-submit it if possible!

You probably have something running that hooks into the games, like MSI afterburner or Razer Synapse and many others.

I only have Razer Synapse. But I closed it down and it still crashed. It worked before, but after installing Nightdev's OBS chat I got problems. Weird issue is that streamers like Lirik use OBS and OBS chat without issue.
