Hi.
I have been using OBS for a long time now but since the latest update I haven't been able to use GameCapture without games crashing or freezing. My settings have been the same for six months or more, so I do not know what changed.
I use MonitorCapture for my Desktop Scene(with Aero disabled, its just a Desktop View), and GameCapture for games like Hearthstone, CS:GO, Left4Dead2 and so on.
Up until now I haven't had any issues but since the update; but once I switch from my Desktop Scene to e.g. CS:GO, I get the "Warning High CPU usage" which I never had before, and my game freezes instantly, but I can hear it run in the background, with menus and in-game sound. Streaming my Desktop Scene or any other working scene while playing only loads my CPU 40-60%. Opening and running OBS with the CS:GO scene selected, then launching CS:GO, it either will not start or it opens to a black screen, frozen with ingame sounds running. However, CS:GO in windowed mode works but it is not an option for me, because I am playing at the level I am.
I tried with another Steam game, Shadow Warrior Redux, running GameCapture which seems to work fine.
I even tried to use Nvidia NVENC to lessen the load of my CPU, with the same outcome, on 32bit and 64bit OBS versions.
My roomie installed and tried to stream as well. Streaming Tomb Raider runs perfect both on x264 and Nvidia NVENC encording, but have the same issues as I do when it comes to CS:GO.
My system is:
i7-4820k @ 3.70GHz
16GB RAM
760GTX
Internet connection 40/35 Fiber.
Newest Nvidia drivers and OBS version.
I have been trying for several hours now and I am out of ideas, and cannot make sense of it anymore.
Please help.
