Question / Help Gameplay appears laggy.

In this video, I was getting around 50-90 FPS and could play fine without lag, but when I watched the video it appeared as if I was getting around 5 fps and was extremely laggy.. I don't understand why OBS is making the game look so laggy? Is there settings I should play around with to stop this? Please help! Thanks.

buffer is WAAAAY to high. the most you EVER want to go to is 3500. try lowering it and see if it will fix it.

Well, both bit rate and buffer are too high. It might be laggy just because you are having trouble downloading it fast enough, or are dropping frames while streaming. It would be a lot easier to say for sure if a log was posted.

Have you tried it on any other games? From what I've heard, I thought OBS had issues with Minecraft and the streams/videos appear choppy for Minecraft?

On a side note, I also learned that when you use Custom Bitrate, set your Buffer size a little bit higher than your Max and it usually comes out silky smooth o_O. For example my Max Bit is around 2800 but my Buffer size is 3300 and ever since changing that, my streams are silky smooth.

(I used to have laggy streams also, but only in certain areas and this fixed it for me.)
