Question / Help Game skips and volume control

Hello Everyone,

I am new to streaming and just did my first stream today. My only issue was while playing smite all my actions were delayed. It did not seem like lag, it just seemed like the actions and abilities I activate do not play at the time of activation. it happens a few moments after or I hear the sound for the ability activation but does not show on my screen. Can anyone help me with this? Is it just my internet or is it a setting in OBS I can adjust.

Also I was trying to figure out good volume controls where is the best area to adjust this? No matter how low I turned the game volume down on OBS I was still experiencing the game overpowering my voice. Also I adjusted the volume in the game settings ans helped more but still ran into loud game volume. Any suggestions or best way to go about adjusting volume?

As far as the audio delay, I can't really help you with that. Regarding the volume in OBS, however... there's a pretty simple fix for that.

In the settings, under Audio, there are two options. "Desktop Boost (multiple)" and "Mic/Aux Boost (multiple)". If your voice is being overpowered by the game's audio, increase your Mic/Aux Boost from 1 to whatever will work best. 2 would be twice as loud as it currently is, 3 would be three times as loud, etc.
