So I've been trying to stream CS:GO and Black Ops 2. I play CSGO at a lower resolution (1024x768 or 1270x720) than my desktop (1920x1080) and whenever I check my twitch page it shows CS:GO playing over my desktop in a small window and not fullscreened. Black Ops 2 seems to black screen to viewers.

I would use Dxtory and output to directshow, and in fact, that's exactly what I do for everything. You can't beat the OBS/Dxtory combo.

Did you pick your game when you add game capture? I have tried OBS game capture and its performance totally beats OBS + DXTory.

Could I possibly see (or you give me a rundown) of your DXtory and OBS settings? Do I need to disable sound capture on dxtory and let OBS do the sound for streaming? what about resolutions on both programs?

I don't have an option to use 'game' capture. Just Software: Monitor (1) and Window Capture which doesnt include the game window.

You need to download the Game Capture beta.

I'm confused, this sounds like exactly what happens when you try to capture a game that's in fullscreen mode -- you have to run the games in borderless windowed mode or some windowed mode to get them to capture with software capture.

There is also a new game capture plugin coming in the next version that will allow you to capture fullscreen games as well, as others have mentioned.

If you are capturing a window which I think you said, then there really shouldn't be any problems.. I'm not entirely sure, I'm slightly confused

You don't need to disable sound capture. Just tick 'Directshow' instead of 'File output' and you're good to go. (You might want to adjust the directshow resolution by clicking the yellow icon on the bottom left.
