Game not showing Desktop audio and fullscreen issues

I am currently trying to record clips in Saints Row 4, the game outputs to my main speakers but in obs nothing shows in the desktop audio.

Also whenever I try to capture a fullscreen application the preview window shows no updated feed, just a still from the windowed mode it was previously in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Current log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/mX3WLk6AfssJNvmQ

[CoreAudio encoder]: CoreAudio AAC encoder not installed on the system or couldn't be loaded
14:56:54.608: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'decklink-ouput-ui.dll

Failed to load 'en-GB' text for module: 'obs-ndi.dll

CONSOLE: Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to read the 'localStorage' property from 'Window': Storage is disabled inside 'data:' URLs. (source: data:text/html;base64,PCFET...

*cough*
I don't think the log should look like that...

EDIT: Also, run OBS as an administrator btw
I'm not sure what is going on, except for that the log is {[(\quite/)]}

I'm pretty sure (I dunno either what they mean) but when it says Failed to load 'en-GB' text for module: 'obs-ndi.dll, maybe either there's some extra english words that are breaking the dll in the obs folder, or some English words are missing that it needs.
Also for the audio problem, can you make sure that the audio mixer on the default OBS page is enabled so sounds can come out?
If it doesn't work, go to your audio icon on your taskbar and right click it and click on the "Open Volume Mixer" thing. And then you can adjust the sounds for each application open that makes sounds on your pc without changing the master volume.

If you also split your sounds by using headphones and output your game sounds into them, your obs will still pick up both the game sounds and your voice if you use a mike, and your voice won't be drowned out by a baby crying or a rpk 74 going off.
So what I mean is by using headphones and a mike (if you talk in your videos)
pros:
your voice can be set to be louder by the obs audio mixer
both your fans and you can hear the game and you
pretty much it ye
Edit: to run obs as an admin, just find the obs application in your start menu or something and right click which gives you a small menu. Then you click on run as administrator to run it. It will look the same, except a little extra load will be take off OBS's shoulders.

I do use headphones but all the audio goes through my speakers which my headphones are plugged into

Oh i get it now. Thanks for the extra info. Er... Im gonna edit this later after I read ur log again
I think the log is saying that your headphones aren't even working or isn't connected because the log only shows one audio device that is working however states before that that there are 2 audio devices not necessarily both working. Aren't headphone cables supposed to be plugged in the computer instead of the speakers?
sorry if I haven't been much help though

Unable to edit first post but have reinstalled not connected to streamlabs obs now. New Log file is https://obsproject.com/logs/bGHeqo89d0MZW-Pw

In regards to headphone point above, the speakers have a headphone output and essentially act as a pass through. This has never been an issue in terms or streaming or recording. The audio issue only affects the game mentioned in the first post.

I'm just wondering at this point, is your monitor a 30hz or 60hz or higher? just wondering
(I know this is plain obvious, but make sure that your speakers are on) {that is just a joke}
The En.us is just an error and there's a similar mac issue at https://github.com/johnboiles/obs-mac-virtualcam/issues/31 but if you are on windows like me, err...
I made a small video to look at a log, and
I get a similar error like

08:41:24.854: [CoreAudio encoder]: CoreAudio AAC encoder not installed on the system or couldn't be loaded
08:41:24.855: Failed to load 'en-US' text for module: 'decklink-ouput-ui.dll'
08:41:24.884: [AMF] Unable to load 'amfrt64.dll', error code 126.
08:41:24.886: [AMF] AMF Test failed due to one or more errors.
08:41:24.886: Failed to initialize module 'enc-amf.dll'
08:41:24.904: [obs-browser]: Version 2.8.7
08:41:24.907: NVENC supported
08:41:24.974: Couldn't find VLC installation, VLC video source disabled
08:41:24.979: A DeckLink iterator could not be created. The DeckLink drivers may not be installed
08:41:24.980: No blackmagic support

but I still get audio so that isn't the problem either.
I now believe either there is a speaker issue or something else, and isn't an issue from OBS.

Im not an expert so I can't help with stuff that is too advanced like %CCYY-%MM-%DD %hh-%mm-%ss in the Advanced section (whatever the hell that means).
Sorry about how I'm not the best, but I just started answering threads so...
I hope you figure it out!
EDIT: In the log, nothing seems to be wrong besides the partial Log that is in both logs. I still get audio however which means either your speaker might be broken or another issue I have no idea of.

So I just tested with a friend of mine to see if i could replicate the issue in another program. I used discords streaming thing and Saints Row 4 doesn't generate audio there either, whereas other games do. So its something to do with the game but everything I've tried has come up blank.

I know this sounds dumb, but can you turn up the volume in the game settings? (I never even heard of that game so I dunno about anything about that by the way)

The really weird thing is that it doesn't even show as having an output in volume mixer. So I really have no idea how to go about fixing the issue.

I searched up "saints row 4 how to raise volume" on google and someone had a similar issue, (not sure if it was you) but it was on this website named gog.com,
can you check it out maybe?
I dunno the problem, but do we agree that the problem is no volume in the game? A lot of forums say that saints row 4 is too quiet to hear, so maybe you could look for the controls on the game in a manual to find a possible or nonexistent volume control.

And also, shouldn't you use game capture or display capture to record?
Game capture is the most flexible and best for games and display capture is the most flexible capture in my opinion because in display, you can hold alt and drag the sides of the capture to cut off parts of the capture output.

I can hear the game fine but systems (Volume mixer, discord, obs, probably others) don't seem to pick up its output.
I use whichever capture method seems to work best for that game I mix it up fairly frequently without issue.
