Game lagging while recording

Hi, I have been trying to record Minecraft on obs. But for some reason when i record my game lags even tho it says its running 90 fps. I dont understand what is going on because i use the same settings while streaming and i have no problem. I will paste my obs settings and my specs
SPECS:
CPU: Intel I7-7567U(2 core- 4 threads)
RAM: 16 GB ddr4 3200 mhz
GPU: Intel Iris plus 650(intergrated graphics)
SSD1(C drive) 512gb(where obs is downloaded)
SSD2 (d drive) 1 TB
This is a intel NUC with added ram and ssd

My settings(output)
Resolution: 1920x1080
Frames:60
Encoder:x264 and/or quicksync (both cause lag in game)
bitrate: 5000

Is my cpu not strong enough to keep up with the settings or is it another problem? I will paste my log once i do it again since i am currently overseas. Please help me with this dillema and it would be really appreciated if you were to help me! Thank you!

This is generally related to your computer's performance. Before recording a game with OBS, you can clean your computer junk and cache and close some programs that you don't need for a while. Clean up your desktop as well, and don't store large folders on it. By the way, you can check your hardware updates. If it still doesn't work, we suggest you try using some game recording tools that require less computer performance such as ShareX, RecMaster, and Camtasia.

Are you enabling vsync to keep Minecraft to 60 fps? I'd recommend it. It's also possibly GPU overload. You're trying to simultaneously GPU encode and game on an Iris 650 in a NUC which isn't the most powerful setup. x264 CPU encoding will cause even more performance drop on that CPU.

I would take an OBS log from your current setup and post the link here so we can analyze it. If you upload a log at the end of a session where you've had poor performance, the OBS Log Analyzer will also give you some useful general advice if there's anything obviously wrong.

I would say that a 2-core 7th gen CPU and integrated GPU may struggle to game smoothly when you're GPU encode and recording the capture at 1080p60. It could be that your GPU or added disk write activity is causing the system to stutter, which you experience as laggy gaming.

Thermal throttling is definitely a thing with NUCs, have you kept an eye on temperatures? Also does this still happen if you reduce video resolution to 720p60? The resolution won't be quite as high, but the same bit rate will often produce higher quality, clearer motion.

As always, an OBS log from a session where you've had issues would be useful. https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/please-post-a-log-with-your-issue-heres-how.23074/

Yes, i think that thermal throttling is a viable cause, i will reduce the bitrate and the resulution and if i still have problems i will ask for help again. Thank you for helping me!
EDIT: on streamlabs whenever i stream and record i have no problems whatsoever

No probs, I'm sure other people will contribute if they have first-hand experience of NUC gaming and OBS :) Hopefully one or more of the things I said actually comes in useful.

Interesting re your SLOBS comment. I wonder if it's using a different set of parameters for the QuickSync encoding, or the video saving... Have you compared performance with SLOBS stats (bottom of the window, click the bars icon for the Performance window) and OBS stats (View > Stats)? And are SLOBS and OBS definitely encoding with the same or comparable settings, and saving to the same video format and quality?
