Question / Help Game in full screen lags?

When I try to stream a game that is in full screen on OBS, the stream and recordings of the stream show that the video has stutters every few seconds. When I make the game full screen (windowed) there is no longer stuttering in the stream but my game lags from it not being full screen. Is there a fix to this or do I have to trade off in-game performance for a better looking stream? The game is War Thunder.

I've tried disabling processes to get rid of the hook warning but nothing seems to work, also disabled in-home streaming on steam as well as uninstalled geforce experience. Could it be something with the game? Any help appreciated.

i used procexp since my the file that was hooked was d3d9.dll.

Only cs:go and OBS were using d3d9.dll.

Still says "unknown hook on d3d9.dll"

try just turning off the OBS preview see if that helps. nvidia experience, overwolf, steam's in-home streaming and broadcasting, disable them both from within steam...

Seems to help disabling the preview but still not convinced this is an applicable fix. Thank you though. Also uninstalled geforce experience, in-home streaming, etc.

chrome and twitch also dont mix well and internet explorer actually has better hardware accelleration and works for YT and twitch with much less CPU usage.

Wow that works! I was a bit skeptical because it appears to be stuttering for the preview on my other monitor, but going through the recordings it's a smooth 60 fps. Thanks to both of you so much.
