Question / Help Game gets capped at 30 FPS, even when OBS not open

The game is fortnite.

Every time I open fortnite it is now capped at 30 FPS, even on low settings ever since I used obs for it.
Even when the obs isn’t open, it is still capped at 30 FPS, I have checked the background processes too, and is still capped. But for some reason when I open obs without recording and stay on it for a minute, my FPS will go to 60, and then go back down to 30 when I click on fortnite. Help is much appreciated

Disable GameDVR in your windows 10 settings and only use "Game capture" source in that scene. Try keeping your capture sources in separate scenes.

OBS main windows ---> Settings ---> "Output" category ---> "Recording" Tab ---> Recording path

Thanks,

My file was saved as .flv is is possible to convert to mp4?

Always record as either .mkv or .flv, since .mp4 is unrecoverable if the recording process is interrupted by lack of disk space, crashes, etc...

After you finish recording, press "File"--->"Remux recordings" on the main OBS window then select the correct file, if you want to store it using the .mp4 container.

Hello again,

This solution worked fine for me yesterday but now when I opened obs again my game was capped at 30 FPS, I checked game Dvr and it’s still disabled, any solutions?

Edit: Nvm it fixed itself somehow
