Question / Help Game freezes, recording only audio

Whenever I record a game (Half-Life), It will record for about a second and then for the rest of the video it's just audio.

Your CPU is not remotely powerful enough to handle recording 1080p video. Downscale the recording resolution under Settings > Video. With a Pentium D you'll probably be looking at something closer to 480p as a realistic target.

Thanks so much for your help. What should I set my downscaling resolution to

480p, which is 852x480, a 2.25 downscale.

And while I'm asking, will that quality look any good on, say, youtube?
