Question / Help Game FPS is good. Streaming/Preview FPS is awful

Hey guys.

So, I'm having an issue where my actual game FPS is fine but my streaming/preview FPS in OBS is chugging hardcore. Things I know:

- My internet speed is fantastic.
- This wasn't an issue until very recently, possibly the latest OBS update.
- I first noticed it 3 days ago or so.
- My computer is relatively high end and should not be experiencing these kinds of issues.

Do you guys have any advice regarding this issue?

Does the problem persist when you change the stream fps to 30?

Yes. I've changed it to 30 and back to 60 again. The problem is still there.

Update: It seems like the encoder (Suddenly. This is a new problem as of several days ago) can't handle high graphics. I tried lessening the quality of the graphics I was running in-game and that seemed to help somewhat. However, even with OBS set to 30 FPS and SWTOR set to Medium graphics, I would still experience frame rate drops - sometimes down to less than 10 FPS.

Any advice or tips here? I'm hoping that it's something as simple as "one of the settings got changed during the last update". Especially when this wasn't an issue a week ago.

Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate and recognize that this is an amazing product that you're offering completely free of charge.
