Question / Help Game crashes when OBS and GeDoSaTO are on at the same time.

Please forgive me if there is already an easy fix for this mentioned elsewhere, but I looked on the forums and couldn't find an answer.

I use OBS to record my Dark Souls 2 sessions for uploading to YouTube later. I've never had any problems with it, and it's become my favorite program to record games with period.

I've recently installed GeDoSaTo for Dark Souls 2 for a few enhancements on the graphics, and it seems to work fine without taxing my system. However, if I'm running it, and then hit record on OBS, Dark Souls 2 crashes when I tab back over to it. I thought that maybe GeDoSaTo just didn't like recording programs, but if I am recording with Shadow Play, I get no problems. However, I'd rather not record with Shadow Play, as it ends up producing very large files, while OBS saves my videos in more manageable file sizes. Plus, Shadow Play likes to split up recording sessions into several files if I go over say 10 minutes, while OBS keeps it all in one file, which I also find more convenient.

So is there any way I can get it to work with GeDoSaTo? I'm assuming there is some setting I need to change or something, I just don't know what.

Known problem because gedosato is a conflicting hook. We'll be able to hopefully reduce the conflict issue in later versions but it'll require rewriting parts of the code. For the time being, try getting DS2 to run in borderless if it's possible, and then use gedosato (hopefully gedosato has an option for borderless). If you can get it in borderless mode, then use window capture on the game instead of game capture. Window capture with aero on is about as efficient as game capture.
