Question / Help Game crashes on "Start Recording"

I'm trying to record Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition but the game crashes as soon as I hit "Start recording". I can play the game fine normally, and can record Skyrim just fine. Any idea what I'm missing here?

@Inthrall you can try to switch to Software x264 encoder. Is there any difference?
