I am having some trouble capturing with OBS Studio lately which I cannot quite figure out why.
I run Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and most of my games also run in 64-bit. So I would presume that OBS would also need to run in 64-bit too. However, the 64-bit version of OBS fails to capture any of my games. It does not display any game within the program and it does not give me a drag-able box to move the game capture anywhere. The option I have set on OBS-64bit for "Game Capture" is the following:
Mode: Capture Specific window
Windows: This would be the games executable
Window Match Priority: Match title, otherwise find window of same executable.
Everything else is unticked.
Now for example, I go to play a game like Euro Truck Simulator 2, this game has multiple choices to run from Steam. It can be ran in 32bit / 64bit / Direct X (32 & 64bit) / OpenGL (32 / 64bit).
No matter which one I select, OBS 64-bit will not detect the capture of the game or any game prior to that. However, OBS 32-bit does capture the game and any other game. So why is 64-bit not working for me but 32-bit working? This does not make any sense. I have completely removed the program and re-installed it with all settings deleted from the previous installation and yet I have the same issue. It is an annoying issue and I would prefer to use the 64bit version of OBS instead of 32bit as I know its optimised to work better on 64-bit OS.
Any help is appreciated. If you need screenshots or anything, system info, just ask and I will gather it up for you.
My computer specs are as follows below.
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64bit
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k
