Question / Help game capture

Do you have all the proper drivers installed for the device? Have you tested that it works in their software first? If the device is not showing up, then there is likely no driver available for OBS to see.

iam new with this
If i play a game and start recordin or streaming then My stream says its LIVE but i dont see anything, if i record and i klick scene1> gamecapture there popsup an other window and i see the game , after closing everything i go to my videos and i have a recording(mp) if i start play i have sound but no visibla recording . what iam missing here ?
Is there anywhere a introduction video for learning how to use this ?

If you see the video in the OBS preview window, but not your recording, the issue is likely the video player you're trying to use. Try downloading VLC and using that to play back the recorded files.

might be some miss in my settings in OBS Whats the recordingformat I tried fly and mp4 but no results
 
Well, you can't game capture a web browser. You need to use window or display capture for that.

If you're trying to add a capture card, you need to add it with Video Capture Device source type.
 
I dont understand :( game capture webbrowser . its normal installed game on steam that i wanna record Rfactor2 as example , not sure but this you dont mean by webbrowser i think

edit guess i found it I need a external HD recorder or something like that ?
if so what can you advise ?

Ok i got i little bit further , now wondering what wouild be better (for PC) a hd pvr2 or this: AVerMedia Live Gamer HD Lite game capture card PCI-Express (PC)
