Game capture works only when I have 1 monitor. Does not work when I have 2 monitors. Used to work fine

Hello.

I don't use OBS very often, but this is a recent issue I never had before. Since OBS updated, Windows updated and Nvidia drivers updated, I'm not sure since when it started, but it's clear by now that my OBS game capture works only when I have just the main monitor activated.

I play a game called Realm Royale and use OBS mainly to record cheaters. So it's very common for me to start OBS midgame. But I noticed that many times it wasn't capturing image, just the sound. Preview remains black. After some time I noticed it was happening when my second monitor was activated, what was never an issue until recently. So even if I'm already in a match, now if I want to use OBS I need to go into nvidia control panel, deactivate the second monitor and then start OBS. And then, it captures the game perfectly as usual.

But it's a hassle having to do that all the time, even because when gaming my second monitor is most of the times showing news, youtube videos and alike and using OBS at the very same time was never a problem.

So if theres a solution, I'll be very thankful to try.

I already tried the different capture options under game capture. No change :(

OBS here is 27.0.1 and nvidia drivers are 471.96, 471.68 was the same. I know that 466.27 was ok because it's on my bkp drive from when I assembled the PC and it was working fine. But OBS wasn't 27.0.1 too.

I'm back to add that DISPLAY CAPTURE works, unlike the GAME CAPTURE.

I always used game capture before, tried display capture for the first time today after watching a youtube video.

But I did not like the display capture for two reasons:
1-My shortcuts to start and stop recording videos work sometimes, don't work most of the times. I just lost an entire match because I expeted it to be recorded but it did not. I never had this issue using game capture. I press the key (+) and it always start recording.
2-I don't want to alt+tab and show my things.

Provide your OBS log please.

Hello. How do I do that? Thanks

Selecting option as the tutorial shows returned an error message. And the other "upload" option was the same.

So I went to the logs folder and copied the contents of the last log.

I tried to paste it here but there's a max char per msg, so I'm attaching the file.

You need to run obs as administrator.
Use game capture
Make sure you don't have conflicting software installed/running

I think it's solved, I readded the game capture after trying display capture for some matches, kept both in the preview and eventually the game capture was working.

But after setting OBS to run as administrator by default, I kept just the game capture and it's working as I expected, as it was before.

Funny things are:
- When I set only 1 monitor, I don't need it running as administrator, it just works.
- My shortcuts to start and stop recording work fine using game capture, but don't work when using display capture if I'm ingame.

Thanks.
