Question / Help Game capture works but screen flashes black randomly

I'm pretty comfortable with obs studio and this seems to been game specific. Obs studio doesn't pick up rFactor in window mode. When I try to capture on display its makes the whole stream lag or better described as it gets choppy frames. It will capture in game capture fine except for it will flash black screen then will continue to capture and flash back and forth the entire time. Anyone have any ideas?

turn off multi adapter compatibility in the game capture source.

Now obs studio crashes upon loading rFactor.
