Question / Help Game Capture with Sub-region

Hello,

Currently, it looks like only Window or Monitor capture supports capturing a subregion. Neither of those will capture my game (BF4) in Fullscreen mode, so I went with Game Capture--but it doesn't support a sub-region. As resolutions get larger, I think this may become a more important feature. If I put BF4 in "Borderless" or "Windowed" mode to capture instead of Fullscreen, my in-game FPS really suffers.

Is there some kind of work around for this, or any plans to enable a subregion capture in the "Game Capture" source at some point? Thanks!!

Not really. But you can just hold down ALT and crop the source down in the preview window.

Now I'm just trying to imagine why you'd want to crop a game source, other than to hide some shenanigans. In Window mode it's mostly to only capture the gameplay and exclude the title/border bars. In Monitor mode it's so you don't show your whole monitor. Either way could also just be done with cropping.

The reason is because I game in nvidia surround 6000x1080 on three monitors... and it's treated by Windows 8.1 and OBS like it's one giant monitor. I only want to broadcast the middle monitor for obvious reasons.

Based on what I just said, can I still "crop" this in fullscreen mode?
