Question / Help Game capture video shows up as tiny window in video

So when I do Game Capture of a fullscreen, 1080p game (expecting to get a 720p file but don't care if I get a 1080p one), it keeps recording video like this.

What settings should I be using to avoid this? I have it on Game Capture and use Fit to Screen but nothing really works. Can someone list some settings I should try out?

Did you try *Edit Scene* button and then grab the red square and extend the game to full screen in OBS?

+make sure you have both resolution the same. In the game and in the OBS. So 1280x720 or 1920x1080

You're playing at 720P when the video is at 1080P. You need to right click the game on the scene, and hit "Fit to screen". If using game capture, the checkbox "Stretch to fit screen" also helps here.

Best thing to do: Go to Encoding, and set your resolution of 1920 x 1080, but then set the downscale to 1.5x. this will set the recording to 720P, and should fix your issue.
