Bug Report Game Capture Not Functioning Properly

Hello, recently I have been having issues recording games with OBS. When a game is in fullscreen, and I alt+tab out to set up OBS for livestreaming, it acts as if the game is not running. I can understand why it does this at first, because the game is minimized, and not recording frames. When I tab back into the game though, it still acts as if the game is not sending out any frames to be recorded.

The game capture works perfectly fine when it's capturing a game in windowed mode as you can see here:

The problem is, when I switch from windowed mode to fullscreen while it's working, the OBS game recorder freezes on the last frame that was recorded while in windowed mode. So when the game is in fullscreen, for some reason it does not register that frames are being sent from the game. I feel like if I was running on two screens the issue would be fixed, but I'm stuck with one screen for the time being (since I don't have any other 1080 screens), and would like to know if there is a fix for this. If it helps, my operating system is Windows 8 if you couldn't tell from the pictures. Also, it seems this lower end game works just fine (Ace of Spades):

You should update to version 0.551b and try again if you are still using 0.522b as it says in your screenshots.

I had been updating, but never noticed it was still actually on 0.522b. Thanks for pointing that out, I will test it out now.

Edit:

It seems when I tried to capture a game, it started out as black. I tabbed in, messed around on the start menu of the game and tabbed back out to check the status.

It was on this screen, which seemed normal since I was in the menu, and it is much better than being just black. I then proceeded to load a save, and walked around for a minute. I tabbed out, and it was still at this screen. I also tested it on Saints Row The Third. Same result, except when I was watching the OBS screen while I was on the main menu of SR3, the frame rate seemed to be at like 2 frames per second. When I proceeded to load a save and then check the OBS screen again, it was stuck at the main menu of SR3, with no frame change.

Edit Again:

It seems even recording windowed mode for Crysis 2 stopped working after a minute, and just stopped detecting frame change. I stopped the preview, and started it again while in windowed mode, and the preview is black once again.
