Bug Report Game capture not functioning - position and size set to 0x0

Hi all, OBS has developed a bit of a problem for me, specifically with the game capture settings. Whenever I try to add a game capture source, it seems to want to set the position to 0.0 and size to 0x0, or it sets it to 90001x90001. I'm running on a desktop with an NVIDIA 1070 and as far as I can tell, it's not trying to pick up a feed from the integrated graphics on the mboard. I've disabled windows game mode and tried specifying the GPU through the NVIDIA control panel to no avail. I've tried the anti-cheat hook on and off, specific executable, any fullscreen app, forcing scaling... Nothing seems to get it running.

Window capture works, as does desktop, but I'd rather not use those options.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What game are you trying to capture? Your log shows no game capture hook attempts.

Well, it's not working with any of them, but here's a log with the capture attempts:

and I've attached a screenshot of the OBS window with what appears to be the corner of a bounding box in the top left, can't do anything with it though.

edit 2: I've also attached a before and after shot of the transform window when I tried to manually set the size of the source

I know this is years ago but I am having the exact same issue. And, this issue just started for me. However, and while I don't use AVG, I have recently been doing some system testing and tuning and thus have installed several new programs that deal with graphics and such. I will check the list and see if I have one of the issues / programs there. I actually hope that is the case. I'll edit this comment if I find the solution in one of these apps and provide full details so others may be able to use the info.

This is not on a laptop. This is the computer I just built. Full size gaming/streaming computer. OBS was working on it just fine a couple of weeks ago. When I was going to stream yesterday I found this issue.

Well, I have uninstalled everything I have installed in the past few weeks. All the gpu and cpu apps for tuning and overclocking as well as monitoring software. I have nothing on that list and nothing that should be doing anything that could mess with OBS. Yet, it still doesn't work. All the types will create and load just fine until I do game capture. Then, every time, I get positions of either 0,0 or 90001, 90001 and sizes of either 0,0 or 90001,90001. If I change the size to anything it always goes to 90001, 90001. No exceptions. My next option is full uninstall of OBS, reboot, and reinstall. I'll try that and reply back here again.

Ok. As of right now it is working fine. I did a complete uninstall of OBS, Streamelements, and any other tidbits I found on my drives from past installs, etc.. Rebooted and did a fresh install of OBS. Loaded up each type of source and they all worked correctly. I will now reinstall streamelements and unless there is an issue with that I will call my issue fixed.

I will, however, pop back in and post if I install something (reinstall something) that then screws it up so that you may investigate and add it to your list so others will be able to fix their issues.

I THINK I am understanding you...but you wrote in one long run-on sentence so I am not sure 100%. While I've been doing this for a while I am still new as far as diving into all this stuff. I was happy with insert link and it worked. LOL Are you saying I need to do something different now from what I used to do?

And thank you for your help in this... I greatly appreciate it!
