Hi all -

Just a heads up and I posted this over on Bungie's help thread for the game as well, I'm running a test before stream tonight and I can't get Game Capture to work with Destiny 2. Window Capture works fine that I'm seeing.

This is entirely not true. OBS Studio IS supported in when capturing in windowed mode.

• To capture while playing in Exclusive Fullscreen:
  • Hardware capture through methods such as Elgato, AVerMedia, or a dedicated streaming PC is supported.
  • NVIDIA Shadowplay and AMD ReLive are supported.
• To capture while playing in Windowed Mode (including Borderless Fullscreen):
  • OBS and XSplit Screen Capture mode is supported.
  • OBS and XSplit Window Capture mode is supported.

OBS in windowed Full Screen isn't working for me on Destiny 2, works for every other game just fine.

If you are looking for an easy fix, and do not want to do a display capture/monitor capture. This is how you can do a window capture for Destiny 2. I searched for a good month before I found this, so I figured I would share. None of the above worked for me until I tried this!

Short:


Use borderless window mode (or how ever this one is called) in Destiny 2 and window_capture in OBS.
Next:
Search the destiny2.exe, rightclick on it, go to properties and then compatibility. Then activate "disable fullscreen optimizations" and enjoy.
No Idea, why I never needed this setting before the Destiny 2 Update.

Well, everyone has suggested you well about what to do. Recently I have also switched from PS to PC when I bought Destiny 2 [MOD EDIT: link removed to shady third party key re-seller] and was facing similar problems. At that time I referred to this article and hope it will help you too.
The following methods are supported for capturing video of Destiny 2 on PC,

Capturing while playing in Exclusive Fullscreen:
Hardware capture through methods such as Elgato, AVerMedia, or a dedicated streaming PC is supported.
NVIDIA Shadowplay and AMD ReLive are supported.
To capture while playing in Windowed Mode (including Borderless Fullscreen):
OBS and XSplit Screen Capture mode are supported.
OBS and XSplit Window Capture mode is supported.

Windows 10 Gaming Features
The Windows Game Bar onscreen overlay is not compatible while playing in Exclusive Fullscreen, but is functional in Windowed Fullscreen and other Windowed Modes.
Gameplay recording via Game DVR is supported in all display modes using hotkeys or using the Game Bar when available.
