Question / Help Game audio not working in obs Windows 10 64bit

I can't seem to get my desktop audio working. I've literally tried just about everything. Watched every video and googled every possible problem. Nothing has worked, I recently switched to SL OBS hoping for better results but it's the same problem. Can anyone help?
I can't find my "last log" tab in SL OBS or I would post that.

Switch back to regular obs studio, streamlabs provides their own support for their version.

In settings - audio, you only need one reference to each audio device. Having two can cause neither to work.

still didn't work. the weird thing is when I play a sound thru my speakers the "desktop audio" lights up. so it picks up my computer audio but not game audio
