Further using of auto switching after singnal freeze

Hello! I am doing some streaming, and I have a third party input singnal, but it will show a pause screen indicating the lost of singal from time to time.
So I want to know, if there is a method to switch to an alternative input when it shows the pause screen, and switch back when the signal comes back?
