Hello, I am experiencing full pc freezes while streaming. In over 1k hours on this setup i've never had the issue until recently. at random times sometimes 11 hours in, sometimes 8 minutes in, my pc will freeze and i must hold power button ive stress tested the gpu with furmark and havnt had the issue. i am not sure whether that tests the encoder properly or not. Log File: https://obsproject.com/logs/CnpYiUJ8HF-cibXo specs: https://pastebin.com/9cCXXTcM i have no crash file as i had to power button the rig.

what says the temps of CPU ? have you check the ram ? when was you last driver updates ? How old your PSU and how many watts has it ?

to check you ram
Temps for cpu and gpu stay below 70c consistently, last gpu update was Feb 1st 2022 through Nvidia Geforce, PSU: cx750m bronze 3-4 years old. mem test i ran for 1.5 hours and got 0 errors over 1 pass and 20% into another.. i will run it overnight if this is more helpful. Some more information: this has happened 4 times in total over 2 months. the first 2 times my displays went black and i lost control of peripherals and all windows apps froze. the last 2 times it happened the same except displays were not black, instead each had a static image of what was last displayed, although my spotify continued to play music through a virtual audio cable, and mouse/keyboard unresponsive again. Could it be an encoder issue? Should i try encoding by a different method? Is there a way to test the encoder itself?

try check you windows installation on errors

open a cmd window as admin

1.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
wait to finish
2.

sfc /scannow

Dism: The restore operation completed successfully. The operation completed successfully.

sfc /scannow: Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

Thank you very much, I will restart and test stream for a while. if issue persists should i respond here or make a new thread?

27.2 may cause freezing when using browser sources due to what looks like a kernel or driver issue.
so the issue may have been found? cuz i've been having the same issues and i've suspected it maybe have been the recent updates i've had (obs, nvidia, or both!)

when will a potential fix be implemented? should i revert to an older version of obs?

27.1.3 seems to be fine for now, we're trying to figure out what causes this. It seems to only occur on Nvidia systems.

I am also having this error. It has happened multiple times in the last thirty minutes. Full computer freeze.
Probably should've clarified more. I have a 1080 Ti. Windows 10. NVENC encoding. No crash logs. Entire PC freeze but only while stream is live (unsure if it happens while recording too). Rolled back to 27.1.3 so I could stream. Hopefully fixed before the deadline.
