Hi! i just downloaded the fujifilm x webcam software becouse i wanted to use my fuji camera as a webcam. the problem is that obs can see the camera but it only shows black screen, what can i do? will they implement fujifilm x webcam in the next update?
 
Hi, I have just tested this also with 32bit and 64bit with no display, the webcam appears to work ok in Discord but that is the only thing I can get it working in. I am not actually sure what resolution it provides but I am hoping 1080p60 or else you are better off using a Camlink or something similar.

I'll play some more and post back if I get it to work but so far no dice :(
 
Same here.

1) Can't manage to connect it to OBS. I only got a black screen.
2) I wish we could control the camera remotely.
3) Once the camera is connected, I can't change the settings anymore.
 
I found a workaround. I use Manycam which is compatible with the Fuji driver and then I add manycam as a Video Capture source in OBS.

Not the best solution since I have to use 2 softwares instead of one but it works.

Yeah, I can't even change Xpro2 settings until I disconnect, or change the knobs and power cycle. Better than nothing I guess.
 
Wouldn't you know this software got release just after I picked up a HDMI>USB converter!

I've noticed the same thing with Fuji's software. Nothing comes up in OBS, but it works OK in Zoom, Slack and Skype. Thanks to @Wawawum I've got the workaround using Manycam - but through from Camera > Fuji X Webcam > Manycam > OBS > (video conf) it does introduce some display lag!

There's definitely some bugs that need to be ironed out, but kudos to Fuji for getting it out there so it's available to be used, even if it isn't polished.

What I've noticed is that if one piece of software is using the Fuji capture device, and then another program tries to access it, the first program tends to crash. Eg, If Manycam is accessing the Fuji cam, then I switch Skype to use the Fuji cam, Manycam will crash. And vice versa.
 
I had no problem getting the Canon webcam software to work on a 50D from 2009.

But, the Fujifilm webcam software doesn't work in OBS or the Windows 10 camera app. It works in Discord, but it MS Teams it displays only the Fujifilm banner screen.
 
On Fuji's webpage, it's noted: " Only pre-installed operating systems are supported; operation is not guaranteed on home-built PCs or PCs that have been upgraded from earlier versions of Windows. " I guess that's the root cause.
 
Bump to keep this alive. Trying to use an X-T2 with the latest FUJIFILM X Webcam 2 software. Works everywhere else natively- Skype, Webex, Zoom and ManyCam.

And yes, if you use ManyCam > OBS then there is a small delay.

Additional info for the developers:
Normally, when the camera is selected, the FUJIFILM utility window pops up to allow for AF/AE/Exposure changes.
Well this dialog box only pops up when "Device Default" is selected under Resolution/FPS Type in OBS properties.
Selecting "Custom" makes the utility window go away meaning that the camera is no longer "in use" and "deactivated".

The issue stays even after updating to 2.0 of Fujifilm Webcam software. Surprising fact is, the webcam works correctly with Skype, MsTeams, zoom etc, it's only OBS that somehow doesn't work. The other surprising thing is, that it works correctly on Mac.
Maybe OBS developers could take a look into this problem? If any help in debugging needed - I would gladly help.
 
Confirming, again, that the XT3 and latest Fujifilm Webcam 2 software do not work with OBS. They work effortlessly with Zoom and other utilities. Anyone have a work-around without delay?
 
Here is a workaround I am testing that seems to be producing good results for me. My setup is an XPro2 on a Surface Book 2 (Core i7 w/ 16gb of ram).

1. Capture on VLC: Media > Open Capture Device... > Video device name: FUJIFILM X Webcam 2
2. Ensure in VLC Video Settings, Video Output is set to OpenGL
3. In OBS create a new Game Capture Source, set mode to "Capture specific window", and Window to "vlc.exe"

In testing, compared to my built-in webcam and an external capture card I am getting consistent results of a slight delay around .3-.4 seconds. IDK if this helps anyone but the software is all free and worked for me so I thought it would be good to share.
 
I've got it working with VLC (thanks for the suggestion). However it would be great if either OBS or Fuji could find a solution for this, as the delay is a bit of a pain and also I'm bringing in realtime content from Unreal Engine so would like to minimize resource use on my computer. I'm using an X-T3 and the latest version of X Webcam.
 
I tried with ManyCam but that ruined the video resolution for me to like 720p or lower. I really hope Fujifilm can update this webcam software so we can use it with OBS asap.
 
As of yesterday (Feb. 03, 2021) Fuji released an update to their Webcam X Software. Version 2.1 of Fuji Webcam X works in OBS 26.1.1 (64-Bit). At least for me it does I'll be doing some more testing to check on its performance but it looks very promising.
