And if it's because MP4, why is that an option to begin with

I want to record multiple Audio tracks as well.

Please, wait at least 30 seconds, the PC may be just busy.

The mp4 was chosen by default because it has nice compatibility. There is warning message about mp4 in the Advanced Settings - how you missed it?

I’ve tried waiting 30 seconds
And Ik there’s a warning sign, but if you can’t use mp4 why is it an option, and if it’s becsuse it’s mp4 tell me which format I can use that does multi track audio

So yea, I tried and put the custom mixer settings, same thing happens
I even waited 30 seconds after stopping it to see if it'd stop, and it doesn't.

Okay, so I just tried deleting my display capture and making a new one
It worked, but it had no sound
then I try again, and it does the same thing..

and whats ur specs

AMD Athlon II X2 250, Software encoder (something like this: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/transparent-windows-help.79600/#post-335085) and I don't play games...

The continuous "Stopping Recording..." usually caused by encoder overload. Open OBS Stats window during recording and you'll see it, I think.
