Question / Help From time to time everything but the game starts freezing and I have to wait for it to catch up.

This only started lately and I can't figure out why. CPU usage rockets up and this happens in almost every game. I'm on windows 10 I have attached the two logs from today if they help at all.

I got this notice from the analyzer

Hook conflict with IGO32.dll

Game capture detected a hook conflict with a file called IGO32.dll. This may result in games crashing or a black screen when using game capture. Try to identify the the application (the full path is \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files (x86)\Origin\IGO32.dll) and either close it or configure it not to hook your game. Note that some video drivers may install hooks for Stereo 3D, SLI or other purposes.

1080p60 not recommended

Streaming at 60 FPS in 1080p or higher is not recommended. This will cause a large strain on your viewers ability to view the stream due to the high decoding requirements. For better results, try 720p60 or 1080p30.

Bad resolution / FPS / bitrate combination

The combination of settings you are using will likely lead to a low quality stream with artifacting and other problems. Consider either raising your bitrate or lowering your resolution / FPS (qval: 0.028)

any help is much appreciated as this is really frustrating, i'm sure i'm doing something on my end to cause it.

i'm a super noob. tell me what I need to do to fix the log so it has more information or what information I should provide.

do this or instead of current log, use the date/time that matches the log you are trying to send. paste the link here.

I thought that is what I did. but here it is again, if you notice it goes from 10-25 to 10-27 https://gist.github.com/cb3393b24d75629946d8

does this include all the information needed?
By CPU usage rockets up when streaming is because you are streaming at one of the highest resolutions that you PC can do. this is typical for 1080@60.

3500 bitrate is the max that twitch can do yes, but 1080@60 will look like trash at 3500 and also viewers will buffer when viewing your stream. this is true for all with the exception of partners.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. there are several factors why 1080@60 and the max of 2500 bitrate should not be used. the above is an example of both.

720@60 is much more watchable and reducing your bitrate to 2800-3000 then dropping your preset to medium or even slow preset will help on the viewer side and yout CPU usage.

Just note that with slow preset 720@60, you might need to OC that hexcore a little. but at least your bitrate will be well within the limits and your stream will look so much better.

about the origins hook, either dont run origins or disable the overlay function of it and I cant recall of origins has a streaming function, if it does disable it.

EDIT: one of your scenes has multiple game captures hooking the same game.

Code:
11:29:31: Using graphics capture
11:29:31: Trying to hook process: studio64.exe
11:29:33: Using graphics capture
11:29:33: Trying to hook process: studio64.exe
11:29:36: Using Window Capture
11:29:51: Using graphics capture
11:29:51: Trying to hook process: studio64.exe

Remove all but one of them.

A. you're fucking amazing for putting the time into looking into that

B. I changed the settings to downsample to 720p 60fps

C. by preset I assume you meant x264 preset so I switched that to medium

D. I do not know anything about overclocking so obviously since I don't know much about it, it scares me so that is why I left it at medium.

E. I changed the bitrate to 3000. do you think that'll be good or should I lower it to the 2800 you mentioned.

Thank you again, a reminder that not all of internet is shitty lol

yes x264 preset.
you'll only need to lower it if your viewers complain about buffering. lastly, dont watch your own stream while you stream, use a different device or internet explorer. that has hardware acceleration to lower CPU usage if you have to. make sure you mute the stream as well! I recommend away from this as it has cause echoing in the past even when muted.

EDIT: lastly you could try slow, but it will be game dependent. watch your CPU usage and dont go above 80-90% at any time.

EDIT2: haah, do you have a new log from when you did the 720@60 test?

I've only changed the settings right now. I'll probably stream more after lunch. I don't want this to come off like a shameless plug but if you'd like to stop by the channel and give me feedback real time that would be amazing . its twitch.tv/steadio

Thank you again for all of your help so far.

alright so I just tested it and it did it again

you can actually see it happen in the link above. right around the 14:45 mark of that video.
Ok, I saw that. I figured it was because you alt-tabbed because you were typing shortly there after. its strange that the webcam froze as well. do you have the webcam as a global source? it should be. you'll have to remove it and readd it as a global source, then put the global source in a scene.

I got a question for you, do you have any recommendations for settings to stream 1080p 30 fps? I just feel like 720p looks way too low res and pixely. do you think i'll have any issues streaming on that setting?

Yeah, because 1080@30 required 2500 bitrate to look decent and that will cause users buffering. If you like to try it, use it with faster or fast preset (see if that works) and use 3000-3200 bitrate. if viewers say buffering then lower the bitrate but you will get more pixellation at 1080@30 than 720@60 because 720@30 you can drop the preset more.
