Question / Help Frequent robotic voice in recording (with log attached)

Hello! Thank you for taking a look at my problem...
I can usually record videos with no problems, but I will also frequently have my voice become robotic so before I record I always do a 20 second test.. even still sometimes the recording becomes robotic halfway through which just ruins the whole thing.
I am currently making reaction/review content for videos, and most of the time the recording becomes choppy(?) after I hit play on vlc.

The log I am sharing is last night's recording. I made 3 videos (and a few test videos in between). The first 27 minute video had no problems, and then the second one was choppy after hitting start on vlc. The third was choppy from the beginning (I forgot to do a voice check).

I have had this problem on this computer in the past, but also other computers so I think it is a pretty common problem and would love to get to the bottom of it.

Thank you for your time!

Logs are reporting substantial audio buffering added, so that explains the robot voice.

If you're not already, I would recommend installing the ASIO plugin for OBS considering it looks like you're using a focusrite scarlett.

Thank you for the reply! I am not quite sure what to do about the audio buffering... does that mean that my cpu/system can't handle the recording? I there an action I should take? Also, I am downloading the ASIO plugin now.. Do you recommend that I use it over my current VST plugins for sound?

EDIT: ASIO plugin is audio input, so if I use the ASIO plugin do you think it will reduce audio buffering? I saw mention that it was much quicker at processing the audio from mic to recording software, but I am not sure if that will fix the problem or not.

The ASIO plugin is different than the VST plugins -- it's actually a framework to talk to your interface on a much lower level, greatly reducing latency and overhead from other layers of windows. You can still use your VST plugins -- those just act as filters for each audio source.

Ok, I installed the ASIO plugin, re-setup my filters.... Hopefully this will fix everything :).
If I still have more sound issues I will post in this thread again!
Thank you ~~

Good luck. If that doesn't help things, then at least it eliminates one possibility from the multitude of others.
