Question / Help Frequent disconnecting/reconnecting

Hi there,

I would like to explain my issue about these disconnects and reconnects I have been getting randomly. To do so, I am going to explain what changed before I noticed these disconnects, and maybe it can be related in some way.

So I always streamed no problems with these exact settings, but I recieved my new HP-HD5210 webcam the other day, and that is the new addition to the stream. I added a video capture of my webcam.

Here is the catch, I received my webcam and spend maybe an entire day trying to get the software sorted, it was giving me an error. (the software that controls the cam, has Skype app, insta uploading and stuff, animations etc.)
Basically after 24 of going crazy I finally talked to a support tech who told me it wasn't compatible with win8 and there will be no future support. That didn't bother me much since the cam worked perfectly, I just couldn't benefit from the small accessories the software brought to the table. However ,during those 24h of reinstalling uninstalling reinstalling testing on obs preview mode something happened. I opened OBS and it was blank. I had lost everything from my profile to all my scenes, global sources etc.. I was raging a bit because I had invested some time in it, but I just calmly rebuilt my OBS profile and started streaming with my webcam.

The disconnecting and reconnecting started since all the above happened. Today has been my first stream session live with my webcam and I just DC randomly.

What caused all my OBS to reset? Was this maybe what is causing my DCs?

Posting a log of one of my sessions today where I must of heard the DC ding sound at least 3 times.
Log analyze showed 0 problems.

2000/2000 rates on 4.6mbps upload
Twitch: Frankfurt, DE
Yes I have reset my streamkey
CBR checked

Since my OBS reset I noticed having CFR checked and Scene Buffering Time on 700ms. Now i'm not sure what my settings were before everything went blank, but I'm sure I was running 400ms and CFR was not checked. However, i'm not sure if this is causing the DCs.

Appreciate the help.

That log did not demonstrate a stream getting disconnected. Rather, it showed a streaming running for 9 minutes and 16 seconds with 0 frame drops and a graceful exit.

THis thread is pretty good about helping diagnose network issues between you and the server, though: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8870
