Dear OBS Community,
Backstory:
I've only just begun using OBS from previously streaming for about 1 year in xsplit, I stream mostly Dota, some GW2 and I love streaming single player games. Be sure to catch my Dark souls 2 stream in March 2014 :)
Specs:
AMD FX-8120 3,6 ghz, 8 GB RAM 1600mhz, Radeon HD 7970 3GB RAM
All this is supported by a 100/100 fiber connection.
The problem:
The first 25-30 seconds of the stream is flawless. Then the stream starts dropping a couple of frames for 10-15 seconds.. then it goes back to flawless streaming, and this is continued throughout the stream...
Other thoughts:
My OBS settings are almost identical to my xsplit settings. But in xsplit I can ramp up the x264 codec to the "faster" setting instead of veryfast, and I can do 1920x1080@30.
I'm streaming to the Stockholm Twitch.tv server (which is approx. 600 km from my location), can't seem to solve it streaming to the NL Server either.
http://sv.twitch.tv/numrii/b/465684752 here's an example of how it looks. That's the other half of my stream, I was disconnected halfway through. I think this was shot with 2100kbps bitrate, I've tried alot of settings between to 1500 - 3300kbps
Attached is a log of the last stream. Loganalyzer says my connection is unstable but I more likely messed up a setting somewhere.
Any ideas?
